Admissions Process

Student acceptance is based on space availability, applicants satisfying the entrance requirements and exemplifying the values of St. John’s School as outlined in our philosophy and mission statement.

Interviews
Once the Admissions Office has received the applicant's application and application fee, the applicant will be invited for an assessment and an interview. They are two separate processes; the assessment for the student only on a specific day specified by the school and the interview on a different day, booked by the admissions office. The interview is for the parents and the child. Both parents are encouraged to attend the interview if possible along with your child. Interviews take place during school days.

Assessment Process
Assessments will occur for intake grade levels first. We will process Kindergarten first and the following grades in order: Grade 1, 8, 11, 4, 5, 6, 7, 2, 9, 10, and 3. I know this is anxious time for all, but please be patient with the process. We believe everyone deserves a fair and equal opportunity before issuing results.

All assessments are expected to be completed by the end of January. Results and interviews are to be finished by the end of February.  Acceptance and waitlist letters will be issued no later than March 12th, 2012.

Selection Process
Once the selections are made, all candidates will be contacted by the Admissions Office in writing. Once the non-refundable tuition payment is received, a position is held for the student.
