International Applications

Students must have a valid Study Permit in order to enter St. John’s School. We will provide you with a letter of acceptance for Customs & Immigration. Your child may obtain a Study Permit when the registration and tuition requirements are met.

Interviews and Assessments

St. John's School prefers to meet students personally for interviews and assessments. A SSAT may be taken overseas. Please select St. John's School as a recipient school using code 6531. Once we recieve the results of the SSAT we will determine whether further assessment is required. Students entering the IB Programme at Grade 11 must be fluent in English. If a student is interested in applying from another IB World School, the teaching language must be English.

British Columbia Medical
Holders of valid Study Permits are entitled to BC medical coverage. Students are, by law, required to apply for the British Columbia Medical Plan. There is a three month waiting period for BC Care Cards from initial entrance into Canada and students waiting to receive their BC Medical Number will have restrictions on off-campus activities or field trips until they received their BC Care Card. Proof of private insurance (visitors insurance to Canada) must be provoided until you recieve a BC Care Card.
