Junior School

The Junior School is a nurturing environment for young students. Fostering strong values and a love of learning is equally as important as establishing a strong foundation for academic success. The school's Four Pillars - Character, Diligence, Loyalty and Service - are the basis of the Junior School ethos.

Education at St. John’s is far from limited to the classrooms; we offer our Junior School students a wide variety of exciting co-curricular activities. These clubs and teams enable students to build on the subjects taught during regular class time and develop new life skills.

The accomplishments of our Junior School students are recognized and celebrated. Students are encouraged to try new things, take risks and embrace leadership opportunities.

Co-Curricular

St. John’s offers a wide variety of clubs and activities to provide students with additional opportunities for self-expression. Students with an interest in music extending outside the classroom may become a part of St. John’s Chamber Singers choir or our Chamber Strings band. Students interested in developing applied art forms may be interested in our sewing, speaking, or cooking clubs.

As another benefit to our small class sizes, when our students demonstrate an interest in developing skills which are not a regular part of the curriculum, we support their strengths. The Knitting Club, for example, was introduced due to student initiative, and demonstrates our students’ desire to aid the community by donating many of their projects to the homeless.
