Want to add an alumni voice to the Soar newsletter or alumni-focused social media platforms?
We're looking for several alumni volunteers who will help source and interview fellow SJS alumni for content on all alumni communication channels. This is the perfect position for an outgoing person who likes to connect with new people and is looking to develop their writing or marketing skills in the process.
Want to relive an exciting SJS event or gain experience in event planning?
There are several events we host that require an extra set of hands. Whether you want to be involved in the planning of a large event or attend for a couple hours to help out, there are plenty of volunteer opportunities available for alumni.
The Alumni Association Executive (AAE) is a group of former SJS students who volunteer their time to keep the alumni community informed, engaged and connected to the St. John's School community. They plan events, run the alumni social media accounts, create content for the SOAR alumni e-newsletter and support the school's alumni relations programme. If you're interested in gaining valuable skills and are passionate about strengthening our SJS alumni community, we encourage you to apply for this two-year volunteer leadership commitment.
We are looking to find an alumni that is enthusiastic and detail oriented!
As secretary your role is to help capture meeting summaries and key action items. In addition, being a liaison in preparing, and hosting meetings. Part of the role involves effective communication with other executive members in regards to the progress of action items.
Looking to develop or hone your presentation and speaking skills? Alumni speakers are encouraged to share their SJS experiences with other members of the St. John's community at several events throughout the year.
Do you remember what it was like to start university in a new city and not know many people?
We're looking for current university students around the world who can volunteer to be the point person for our newest graduates when they start school in September. You would take on the role of being a friendly face to help answer questions, give tips on navigating the city or campus and recommend the best sights and restaurants.
