On Tuesday, Grade 9s enjoyed a fascinating presentation by Tamara Levy, Founding Director of the UBC Innocence Project.
Ms. Levy is the mother of Gaby Levy-Gay ‘18. She presented to Grade 9s on the very interesting topic of wrongful convictions.
Students were encouraged to relate the presentation to their current study of Arthur Miller’s The Crucible, McCarthyism and the Salem witch trials.
The UBC Innocence Project works to identify potential miscarriages of justice, while educating students about the causes of wrongful conviction and the proper roles of professionals in the criminal justice system.
We are very fortunate to be able to provide unique learning opportunities such as these.
