The Art & Design Portfolio Fair, held on November 29th at SJS, is a signature event coordinated by the University Guidance team. This year, we welcomed 28 renowned art and design schools to SJS . The event was a huge success with approximately 200 guests in attendance from 17 independent schools across the Lower Mainland.
During our second unit of inquiry on seasonal changes, the kindergarten cohort started to have some questions about the impacts of human behaviours on seasonal patterns and animal adaptations. They used their research skills to look for answers and brainstormed ways that they could help. The kindergarten classes created a public service announcement to share at Monday’s Junior School assembly. The message was clear; human behaviours are having detrimental impacts on the natural environment, and the animals within it. However, if people become increasingly mindful of how much garbage they are creating, and how they dispose of it, the world will become a happier and healthier place for all living creatures
