At St. John’s, our aim is to graduate students who pursue their goals with passion, integrity and respect for others within local and global communities. Each year, a number of international trips are offered to support experiential education. From curriculum based trips to service projects, our students are taking what they’ve learned in the classroom and applying their knowledge to unique first hand experiences.
Our most recent service trip had our students building a school within a tiny community located in the Amazon Rainforest. Students traveled to Ecuador over Spring Break and were greatly impacted by the rich culture, the warmth of the people and the significance of the local history. Our Honours Band students had the opportunity to work alongside industry experts in California, where they spent time at a band clinic at UCLA, a soundtrack instrumentation workshop at the Disney Performing Arts Studio and then performed at the California Adventure Park.
Whether it’s service or curriculum based, our international trips have students exploring all corners of the world and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
