At St. John’s, our aim is to graduate students who pursue their goals with passion, integrity and respect for others within local and global communities. Each year, a number of international trips are offered to support experiential education. From curriculum-based trips to service projects, our students are taking what they’ve learned in the classroom and applying their knowledge to unique first-hand experiences.
Our most recent service trip had our students building a school within a tiny community located in the Amazon Rainforest. Our Honours Band students had the opportunity to visit Japan, where they teamed up with Ichikawa Subaru High School to perform at Tokyo DisneySea. They also took part in a taiko drum workshop and toured cultural and historical landmarks.
In 2019-2020, students will take part in adventures in the Yukon, Jasper National Park, New Orleans and South Africa.
Whether it’s service or curriculum based, our international trips have students exploring all corners of the world and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
