We are very proud of the students, staff and programmes we have at St. John’s and welcome you to learn more about the breadth and depth of a St. John’s education.

We strongly believe the IB Programme is the best programme available today to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young men and women who will create a better world.

We are confident that the inquiry-based and comprehensive learning approach of IB provides our students with a dynamic and engaging learning environment that equips each child with the communication, critical thinking and team work skills to be a happy and successful lifelong learner.

Our staff are exceptional. Our students are at the centre of what we do. Our academic and co-curricular programmes are diverse. We encourage you to explore our website to learn more about IB in general and what the IB programme looks like at St. John’s. Thank you for your interest in St. John’s. We look forward to meeting you at one of our Open Houses.

Learner Profile

The centre of all three IB programmes is the student as the learner. The Learner Profile is a group of ten attributes that all members of the community aspire to and which we develop in our students as they progress through their years at St. John’s School. All St. John’s students strive to be:

  • Inquirers
  • Knowledgeable
  • Thinkers
  • Communicators
  • Principled
  • Open-minded
  • Caring
  • Risk-takers
  • Balanced
  • Reflective
These attributes are cultivated through academics, but also through the other equally important experiences that students have at St. John’s School. The co-curricular and athletics programs, outdoor education and service education all contribute to the development of the life-long learner.
